SCARF’s diversion programs and services are designed to keep children from entering foster care and to help families reunify with their children. Our master’s level clinician and certified case managers are committed to providing high-quality services in order to achieve these goals. Through our evidence-based strategies, we strive to empower families to make well-informed decisions that will lead to successful reunification. Our goal is to give families the tools and resources needed to remain together, ensuring a safe and supportive environment.
Funding may be available through contracts by the state, CBC or most Medicaid insurances and HMOs. Non-insurance children and adults are eligible.

Family Intervention and Resource Management (FIRM)

SCARF’s FIRM program is designed to help youth cope with current stressors to improve the impact of daily strains in their lives.

Youth Sexual Abuse Prevention Program (Y-SAPP)

SCARF’s Y-SAPP program is designed to transform family systems of interaction among family members. Whether the youth perceive it as an “individual” or “family” issue, involving families in the solutions often benefits clients.

Provide group counseling with an assessment to determine the possible presence of mental health issues that may interfere with treatment success.

Individual and Group Parenting Classes

To serve those children attending Osceola County Public Schools who may benefit most from having therapy in the school environment, have a need for coordination and planning with school personnel, and those who would not otherwise be engaged in traditional outpatient services.

Family Planning

Protecting the unborn is vital.

We work with your local OB to help make your transition to parenthood a safe and pleasant experience.

There is an emphasis on integrating child developmental ages and changes and safety training for young moms or new parents or for those parents with high-risk pregnancies.

Family Visitation

SCARF provides skilled social workers to supervise visitation between children and their birth families to assist in establishing permanency for children in out-of-home placements.

Documentation of visits will be given to referring agency on a monthly basis, or as requested.
